- Cooking skills utilize a variety of academic disciplines
- Cooking classes at KMS takes place in our original "home-chef" state-of-the-art teaching kitchen designed and stocked by Viking. Children learn to cook and bake and work safely in a kitchen. They learn proper kitchen procedures, how to read recipes and food labels as well as good nutrition practices. They explore creative "hands on" food ideas with fresh and seasonal ingredients which encourage a lifelong appreciation for healthy eating. Some skills learned include time management, math, dexterity, science, and teamwork.
